This may have been mentioned before, or may just be a bad idea but what I’d like to see in this forum is a free offcut exchange. We all have that box of bits of old 8awg, Y adapters, left over ring terminals, fuses and stuff that will never be used again but we just can’t throw out.  It would be nice if the more helpful/generous amongst us had somewhere we could offer these up for free to people in the middle of a build.

Just a thought. 😀

This is a nice idea, but when you are in the middle of a build you are much more likely to jump onto ebay/amazon/drive to halfords and buy the bit you need to solve the problem as quickly as possible.

True, thats when my box gets bigger as I end up buying 10 of whatever when I only need 2. I have 15 25mm cable glands, only ever used 1.

That's why we need not just a toolbox to put stuff in but a whole garage.
